Although feeling good about ourselves starts from within, our actions also lead to a higher self-esteem. Dating Coach DeAnna Lorraine says there’s no better opportunity than a first date to feel confident. Here’s how:
1. Refresh. Who you are inside is most important, but updating your look can kick off a positive attitude before your date. “Cut or color your hair. Have your nails done,” says Lorraine. “Wear something feminine and flirty and heels. You’ll be radiating confidence.”
2. Take your time. Rushing to get ready for a date will give you unnecessary anxiety, so give yourself at least one to two hours. Put on some high-energy music that makes you feel good. Turn any nerves into excitement!
3. Have fun. “If you focus on having fun, you’ll project a confident, relaxed attitude,” she says. That’s always attractive.
