I’m hosting an Easter fiesta for friends and family. Any tips on how to celebrate it?

Pascua is one of our most important holidays, and few things are as significant as teaching our kids about nuestra cultura and how we celebrate it. Make it a memorable holiday with these ideas.

1. Cascaron Hunt Instead of the usual egg hunt, make and hide cascarones. These traditional Mexican eggs are decorated after the yolk is poured out through a small puncture. When dry inside, fill them with confetti and glitter. Hide the cascarones. When found, the tradition is to crush them in your hands right before sprinkling the contents over someone else’s head as a surprise.

2. Crafts for Pascua Collect twigs from a lawn or garden, and tie them with a wire to make Easter crosses with your child. Then add colorful ribbons or any spring flower before hanging them on a wall or door.

3. Rosca de Pascua This ring-shaped sweet bread from Argentina is covered in sugar dust and candied cherries, and it’s sometimes topped with chocolate eggs. It’s an Easter staple throughout Latin America, and its shape represents eternal life.
